Dynamically launch apps with AutoLaunch!
To get Started with launching apps with AutoLaunch follow these steps:
- In Tasker, create a new Task and add a new action: plugins->AutoLaunch
- In the App name field write “YouTube” (or any other app name you want)
- Accept the settings and test the Task with the “Play” button on the lower left in Tasker: you’ll see the YouTube app launching
- You can use Tasker Variables in the AutoLaunch fields, so you can dynamically launch the apps you want
- If it doesn’t work, please follow the steps in the FAQ here: http://joaoapps.com/autolaunch/faq
To get Started with querying apps with AutoLaunch follow these steps (NOTE: you currently need the latest Tasker beta for AutoLaunch Query to work):
- In Tasker, create a new Task and add a new action: plugins->AutoLaunch Query
- In the App name field write “Google”
- Accept the settings
- In the same task add an Alert->Popup action. Write %allabels() in the “Text” field (or use the little tag icon to insert the variable automatically)
- test the Task with the “Play” button on the lower left in Tasker: you’ll see a popup with all the apps that contain the word “Google” in their name
- Now you can create a scene with these variables, for example, or do anything you want with them
