Creation Sharing Guidelines

See an example here. Follow the guidelines below.

 

Please follow these easy steps so all creations are created in a predictable and easy and to follow manner.

 

1) “Description”: Describe the Project/Profile/Task

Make a small introduction on what your creation does, describing what it is that makes it special.

 

2) Describe how to create it in a high-level way

Write out what needs to be done in order to create the project you’re sharing.

Describe how you put the Project together in a high-level way like this, for example:

Profile 1:

Conditions:
  • Describe conditions here
Entry Task:
  • Describe Task actions here
Exit Task (if it exists):
  • Describe Task actions here

Repeat if you have more than one profile

 

3) “Tasker Description”: Post the Project/Profile/Task from Tasker as a description

Long-press the Project/Profile/Task in Tasker and choose Export->Description in Email. I recommend choosing "Add to Dropbox" in the following menu, if you have dropbox installed because you can then easily access the file with the description on your PC. Paste it in a "Preformatted" block like this one

 

4) Attach your creation’s XML file in the post

Long-press the Project/Profile/Task in Tasker and choose Export->Xml. Either choose to save it to the SD card and then upload the file somehow, or simply export it to Dropbox as a file with a .xml extension.

Zip the file and attach it to your post. For some reason xml attachments can’t seem to be accepted.

 

5) Set the post’s tags to the plugins used in this creation

Example: AutoRemote, AutoVoice, AutoShare
